We Individually Assist Job Seekers
Daily Work assists job seekers by engaging them
on a caring and personal level. We assess needs carefully, finding
access points to employment and employment readiness creatively,
working to establish and maintain relationships with each person
served so they are supported in the process of working toward
“living wage employment”. We help each job seeker recognize his
or her skills and guide the process of envisioning what they can
become.
The road to employment and financial
stability includes skills and strengths assessments, resume
preparation, job searching and employer contacts, skill development
and training, interview preparation, and guidance and support after a
job is found. In addition, we assist job seekers address issues that reduce
the probability of success, such as those involving transportation,
housing, criminal history.
The approach of Daily Work to
providing job seeker support is uncommon.
Daily Work:

underserved by other social service agencies
-

substantial obstacles to employment
-
Provides individually
customized and long-term career services support
- Facilitates use of resources
already available in the community to complement what we provide
- Builds relationships with
service providers and potential employers

because a substantial portion of the staff is composed on interns
and volunteers
