Executive Director
Dave Krahn is the Executive Director of Daily Work; he has held this position since March of 2011. From 2006 until March, 2011, he served as the Chair of the Board of Directors of Daily Work. Dave worked for a total of over 30 years for the DuPont and 3M Companies; most of his experience involved pharmaceutical R&D. He has extensive organization and project management experience. Dave is a graduate of St. Olaf College and the University of Wisconsin (PhD - Oncology).

Howard “Hob” Weiss - Chair
Hob has been Financial
Representative with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans since 1999. He is a member of the St. Paul Area Synod
Ending Poverty Leadership Team, and a member of St. Anthony Park Lutheran
Church.
Hob is a graduate of Augustana
College (Sioux Falls, SD) and attended Luther Seminary.
Rev. James Erlandson – Vice Chair
James Erlandson is pastor of
Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, St. Paul, MN, a position he has held since
1994. Previously, he served as pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka
and Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in Saint Paul. Since 1990, he has
been active in ISAIAH, a church-based community organization in the Twin
Cities, and he has worked in the Summit-University neighborhood of St. Paul for
public safety, economic development, and racial justice.
Jim is a graduate of Augsburg
College and Luther Seminary (MDiv).
Maryellen Skan - Secretary
Maryellen Skan has worked as the
Volunteer Coordinator at Our Saviour’s Housing (homeless shelter) for three
years. Previously, she worked in the field occupational safety and health field
for over 30 years. She has served on the Church Council at Our Saviour’s
Lutheran Church in Minneapolis for the last four years and is an active member
of the Outreach Table. She is also a
member of the Minneapolis Area Synod’s Partnership Table, and the
Communications Director for the Central Minneapolis Chapter of Thrivent
Financial for Lutherans.
Maryellen is a graduate of Colorado State
University and the University of Minnesota (MPH - Industrial Hygiene).
Richard Gehrman - Treasurer
Rich Gehrman is the founder and
Executive Director of Safe Passage for Children, and President of Richard
Gehrman and Associates, Inc. In his
consulting work, Rich is an experienced project manager who represents business
owners in major Business Process Redesign projects and IT system upgrades. He has managed projects in federal, state,
county and municipal governments in the health, human resources, state court
administration, higher education, and juvenile justice. Specific positions he
has held include the chief finance and administrative officer for the
Westchester County New York Department of Social Sciences, the Maryland
Department of Human Resources, and the City of St. Paul, Minnesota.
Rich is a graduate of Williams
College, Harvard Divinity School (MDiv) and Harvard Business School.
